Training course “Strategic planning for university staffs of Vietnam”

More than 100 managerial, strategic planning and human resource staffs from 35 universities throughout the country participated in the training course organized in Hanoi and NhaTrang.

In recent years, strategic planning has attracted the attention of scholars and activists in Vietnam . Known as an issue in Strategic Management subject, strategic planning is defined as systematic analyses on school/ organization and a system of main strategic goals assisting the organizations attain its vision within the sphere of values and available resource potential (Davies B. và Ellison L., 1997).

Focused on future, on identifying objectives and necessary strategic solutions to achieve these objectives, the strategic planning have its assisting role for organization in  adapting to changes of socio-economic life contributing to mobilizing the limited resources effectively, defining fields and the utilization of these resources and outcomes as well. Originated from business field, strategic planning has became a necessary and obligatory tool in planning mission of university and educational organization due to its exceeded advantages in building and maintaining the success of an organization.

After two weeks with the teaching and assistance of Dr. James Stephen Friderers and Vietnamese experts, trainees has been provided knowledge on steps of strategic planning process as well as essential skills on building a strategic plan and they completed their  own  university ‘s strategic plans.
