
The book includes four chapters. In Chapter I “ Theoretical foundation on human re source management”, the author systemizes basic theoretical issues, new concepts on human resource management, such as human capital and human capital development; human resource models; factors and macro policies affecting to the human resource management. The author’s explanations on these issues are very clear, coherent and convincing. In Chapter II “ Human resource management experiences of foreign countries”, the author presents human resource management experiences of developed countries such as US, Sweden, and also experiences of South Asian and economy- transition countries.
The situation of human resource management, as well as findings in human resource management in Vietnam based on profound, systematic and high reliable fieldwork data are issues that are documented in Chapter III “Situations of Human resource management in Vietnam”. Especially, the author analyzes the differences on human resource management in some fields: public administration, professional organizations and enterprise level.
In Chapter IV “Model, policies and solutions for improving the effectiveness of human resource management”, the author suggests the application suitable human resource management model in the new context and proposes a system of comprehensive point of view and solutions for improving the effectiveness of human resource management in three areas: public administration, professional organizations and enterprise level.
